“ While in Singapore I had to chance with my husband to meet up with two Yelpers for some delicious eats. With a quick run down of my dietary needs, we ordered a feast for all four of us to enjoy. We, of course, ordered their famous crab bee hoon and also salt egg (i think it was the pork), venison with ginger and spring onion, crispy squid, and sambal kangkong. All the food we enjoyed was delicious and we all left very full and happy. You can't beat that! ”

“ Long Ji used to be located at a dingy old coffee shop (sans A/C) opposite Tiong Bahru Bakery. They've since shifted to a larger unit along Outram Road that's not too far away from No. 3 Crab Delicacy. We tried to make reservations for 6 on a Sunday afternoon but they were running a full house so we had to settle for the 8 pm slot. Service was brisk as the place was bustling with activity. My favorite dish here is their signature Crab Beehoon 龍記米粉蟹. The thin strands of rice vermicelli had absorbed the rich flavours of the crab jus and brown sauce. The crab was perfectly cooked and delectably succulent. Don't forget to order this dish when you visit. The Har Cheong Gai 虾酱鸡翅 (Deep-Fried Chicken Wings marinated in Shrimp Paste) is another dish worth splurging your calorie intake on. I loved the crispy skin and juicy meat. If you have a weakness for Salted Egg Yolk (like moi), definitely order the Pan fried Salted Egg Pork Rib 咸蛋排骨. The grainy texture and the umami-rich savoury flavour of the Salted Egg Yolk coating around the browned pork ribs adds another level of enjoyment to the juicy meat. PS: Sold by weight, our crab cost us about $72. ”
“ They have moved to a new location - 53 Havelock Road, 161053. Must try - crab bee hoon. Prob one of the best I've tried in Singapore. Other dishes are OK but will always return for crab been hoon. And prices are good value. ”
